Fabulous makeover with Indy today at House of Fraser Wolverhampton. I was able to make an appointment via a phone call for the same day as it was my 53rd birthday . (Amazing for such short notice) Spoke to Indy and she was so lovely on the phone. I was very excited to go in and put at ease. Well I can't thank Indy and her colleague enough for how pampered I felt. I have had great advise and have had loads of tips on application and what would suit my skin, eye shape, lips etc. Despite being busy the girls were very attentive and professional selling loads of products to customers. My daughter was with me and she had some great advice on brow shaping and what product would suit her best. My daughter and i are very impressed. WE WILL BE BACK! Thankyou Indy.x

I literally cannot thank these girls enough! I read the negative reviews and was a bit nervous about going to approach them. I had to exchange a foundation as I had been given shade 30 instead of 13 at another store. I didn't catch her name but the girl with a visitor sticker on got a manager for me straight away. I was told that I was unable to return it as I bought it from a freestanding store. I said I would just buy the 13 shade and return it later on. They asked if I just wanted a sample but I explained I was going to Australia for 3 weeks that day. So the girls said they would sort me out three sample pots which would last 30 days! So I have enough to last me and I can exchange my foundation at another date. Top class customer service and they were so so lovely and the visitor girl was really lovely asking what I was doing there etc. Don't think the previous reviews are definitely how it always is. I was so happy I just had to write a review and put the positive forward! Thank you girls!

I have read the other reviews and I am pleased to say I have had a very different experience. As a novice when it comes to applying make up they were extremely helpful and booked me in straight away to have an hour consultation with a member of staff. All staff were very polite and helpful and my make up artist was very knowledgeable on the products and what suited my skin type. She took the time to teach me how to apply my make up properly so I could look my best for my friends wedding. I would recommend them to others and hope you get the same treatment as I have :)

I have read all the reviews of MAC in Wolverhampton and I could not agree anymore. The staff are all very stuck up and never provide customers with the service which is expected. I wear MAC make up but I never purchase from Wolverhampton, I always go to Merry Hill, Debenhams as the staff in this store are very helpful. I hope House of Fraser take all these reviews into consideration and act on this, as this is beyond the joke.

1 star is one to many. I visited the Mac store and after waiting for ages someone finally served me. I explained that I wanted a brush for under my eyes to blend out concealer as I don't want to use my beauty blender anymore. She recommended brush 224. It was a fluffy brush so I was abit sceptical as they're usually used for eyeshadow. But I trusted her as she works in Mac. So I continued my purchase. Only to find that it didn't work great under the eyes, so i looked on their website and the brush is actually a tapered blending brush used specifically for eyeshadow. So I've wasted my money on a product I will never use.
I visited again today, and asked for a tester of the Water Fluid foundation. The lady was busy and said she'll be with me she's just serving. I waited 15 mins and still no return. So I went to the till and she advised I needed to wait 30 mins. I said I will come back, she said I can give you a tester so you can take it home and try it yourself. I agreed, then she tested it on the back of my hand and gave me a tester. But how could she be accurate by testing it on my hand and not on my face??
I'm extremely unhappy with the customer service in the store!! Only to mention another young lady knew I was standing there but was too busy taking to a friend that had came in than to help me.
DONT SHOP THERE... DONT PUT COMMISSION IN THESE GIRLS POCKETS!! They are rude, stuck up and only serve people they think are worth it! If you really want a Mac product, go to the Birmingham store in Selfridges!!

I visited the store today and was distressed by the poor customer service that exists within House of Fraser Wolverhampton.
I was extremely disappointed with the service I received today from a member of staff at the MAC concession. After completing my transaction she muttered under her breath 'how rude' can I please highlight I had said nothing inappropriate nor made any gesture suggesting I was acting in a rude manner. When I confronted her she began shouting at me in front of other staff and members of the public as well as my small child who was also subjected to her shouting and pointing at me. He again this evening spoke of the incident stating he was very scared.
Furthermore I felt took back and informed her I had said nothing wrong yet she continued to shout. I then left the store as she did not stop shouting.
I feel shopping should be an enjoyable experience however today I felt intimidated and extremely upset.
Finally I feel the staff in MAC wolverhampton need a lesson in customer service..... I will certainly never use this store again!!!!!

I visited your counter recently and it wasn't a nice experience. The assistant was so rude, it's unbelievable. I was told there was a 10 minute wait, which I didn't have a problem with. However 10 minutes became 40. At this point I stepped forward for the assistant to know that I was still waiting. She had left me sitting on the stool while she began serving other customers and answering the phone. When she eventually came back to see to me, she stood right my face and argued that it was company policy to leave customers (who they are already serving) to deal with fresh customers who have just walked in for help and advice. This she told me was UNDIVIDED attention. I corrected her, to which she raised her voice, for everyone to hear and repeated that this was company policy. I am now quite aware of your company policy now, as she repeated it 3 times. Rest assured I will never purchase another item from the Wolverhampton branch. Thank you assistant for exposing yourself for what you are - rude, unhelpful and lacking customer care. MAC you need to drastically change your policy, or perhaps MISS ASSISTANT has got it wrong. Having dealt with me, on the way to the counter she stopped at length to assist , not one but two customers. Yes, she made her point clearly - oops, the policy kicked in again. Needless to say, I left with my money in my pocket.
