They do not deserve even 1 star! This is an absolute joke of a company. The highest level of incompetence I have ever experienced. My boyfriend and I moved into a property 4 months ago and after 1 month, the boiler broke. After TWO WEEKS they sent a plumber to check the ELECTRIC boiler. He was clueless as to how to fix it, that's understandable. I was told the contractor would call to arrange another visit. No phone call. After endless phonecalls from myself plus visits to martin & co office, our problem STILL isn't fixed. (It has now been 12 weeks with no hot water) Even worse, our toilet broke 8 weeks ago. 2 people were called out separately with no resolution to this day. We have been asked to move out at the landlords request at the end of november (6 month fixed term but without being asked if we would like to renew this) Today I received a threatening phonecall from Martin & Co stating that due to our late rent we will be 'removed from the property' and 'costs recovered', although legally we have until 31st November. After assuring him I knew my rights as far as being provided with basic human right to a toilet and hot water being included in the rent i was informed that 'citizens advice are a joke to me'. Has anybody else had such a horrible experience? This company need to be investigated as it is a crime for them to call themselves a business, let alone the illegal way they operate.
