My son has both drum and guitar lessons at Midland Music Academy. He thoroughly enjoys his lessons and looks forward to them each week. For both instruments he is taught by teachers who are members of rock bands themselves and regularly perform on stage, so they convey a real life passion and enthusiasm for the kind of rock music that my son loves. He has really connected with both and is able to learn in an environment where it is ok just to play for fun if you want (although exams are on offer for those who want to go down this route). I am sure my son is acquiring a life long love of music here rather than just learning the rudiments and techniques to playing an instrument. We have always found all of the staff friendly and approachable and the whole organisation is run in a very professional manner, Darren or Lynn are always on hand to deal with any queries and the operating policy is uncomplicated and clear and readily available for parents in the waiting room.
