KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Don't even want to give them one star. They tell lies. Took over my property from Futures, I was not sent any correspondence from either Agents informing me of this. Received a phone call saying my Tenant was in arrears. Turned out she had left 12 months earlier, leaving debt, the property was damp, cooker, curtains, sofa missing, new flooring needed throughout, new kitchen needed, none of the storage heaters work and every room needs stripping and painting. Turns out none of this is Goodchilds responsibility as apparently I am under contract with a company that they took over properties from but no longer exists. Still waiting for my deposit back since Aug and they didn't have even have any keys for my property, I was told they were doing a track and trace on my Tenant (have email to prove it) this morning received an email from Goodchilds saying £139.00 had been paid from my Tenant but seems they are sent automatically so no one knows why the money was paid as she hasn't paid any money for over 12 months and that they haven't got a track and trace on her as that is not included in my contract, neither are house checks or chasing the rent. What a great Business to have, WIN WIN ALL THE WAY! for them. I shall be taking this up with the Ombudsman and suggest others do the same as they will continue to get away with it.The two things we need from a Letting Agent is to look after our properties and get the rent. SIMPLE.
