Car Park Wolverhampton Reviews

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! THIS IS ONE SCAM OF A CAR PARK. Parked here in the evening and when I got back we had to pay £50 to get out as the car park had closed. There was a TINY sign strategically hidden at the front of the car park where you would ONLY see it on your return, to state it was closing at 19.30, but we actually parked our car in there at 19.51. There were about 12 people who all had there cars locked in, so it is clear we are not the only ones who were misinformed. We had to pay to get out , two weeks later I received a PCN for £100 for parking in the car park without payment even though it was closed and it didn't tell anyone or shut its gates. and charged me to get out! Looking back at the whole experience and how the signs are placed to inform you, this is a nice little MONEY MAKING SCAM for some immoral private company in London to take advantage of people - DO NOT PARK HERE. I've only put one star becuase it won't let me put 0 or minus.

Parked in Beatties car park as I had a business meeting upstairs in the George Wallis on Victoria Street. Had a nightmare trying to exit from level 2 down the slope as the channels are do barrow with 10 inch high kerbs and very little turning space to get my car straight enough to negotiate the ramp without clipping the ridiculously high kerbs. Well I managed to catch the kerb on the passenger side and thinking burgess just my tyre I quickly reversed and started my approach again. This time I got through with no problems. However when I got home to Sheffield the next day I realised how bad the damage to my car was. The bottom trim on that side of the car has all black and yellow paint engrained into it and it has loosened it from the main body of the car... Gonna be a few hundred quid to repair and respray. Absolutely gutted... Anyone had a similar problem??

I have also been fined 100 pounds when I found no signage or information and even checked Beatties cafe to see if there was something wrong with the car park. Beatties no longer own the car park and take no responsibility whatsoever for what is happening or for the exorbitant "fines" when you cannot even find out what you are supposed to do. I have appealed unsuccessfully and feel completely cheated. The car park is simply a scheme to trick and deceive customers. Beatties was the Rolls Royce of shopping in Wolverhampton but I for one will not be stepping in the store ever again.

Have you noticed that since the implementation of the number plate recognition, the car park charges are not displayed?

These should be displayed prominently at the entrance of the car park.

Don't be fooled - the jobs of the car park attendants were made redundant but the car park prices have significantly increased!

I too had the misfortune of parking on Beatties car park only to receive a parking fine. I looked for a pay meter, I couldn't see one. As you say no-one at the kiosk. I went back to video the problem and was stopped by two customers within 10 mins of arriving. They thought I worked for the car park company. They couldn't find the pay meters either. Come on Beatties step up and say something.

Be careful in this car park as there are few instructions on method of payment. I parked there on 06/08/16 for one hour exactly; 17.36 to 17:35 to be exact.. In the past when I have been in this car park there has been a manned kiosk on the way out where you pay the fee. I could not see any parking machines and in fact a lady parked opposite me and we agreed that it must have been pay on departure as it used to be. When I left the access to the car park from the shop was closed so I had to walk around the street. The desk was closed also and I thought that Beatties must have introduced free parking as I know that car park charges are the one thing that people complain about mostly to Wolverhampton Council. and surveys have shown that people go elsewhere than Wolverhampton to shop because of this. I came home today to find a fine for £100 with a £60 early payment discounted fee if paid in 14 days. Disgusting. No signage or very hidden signage. Misleading given the historical payment method.

I'm not a nervous driver but I find this car park terrifying. Sharp turns onto narrow ramps make it a nightmare. The last time I parked there another driver became wedged as he turned onto a ramp, panicked, and somehow reversed into the front of my car even though I was some yards behind him. They need a hatched area opposite each ramp so you can reverse into it and have a straight drive onto the ramps.
